There are quite a few people who are saying that Oda has made it very hard to actually power scale Mihawk however more evidence points to Mihawk being that of ATLEAST admiral level. Mihawk is stated as the Best Swordsman in the World.
Is the title of Worlds Greatest Swordsman and occasional sparring with Shanks enough evidence.

Meaning he is at the same level as the Yonkou the admirals and Dragon. I think this information pretty much confirms that Mihawk is Yonko level. I dont see how Oda calling him a legend means that hes Yonkou level.
Mihawk is considered Yonko level and Brook is not because Mihawk is that powerful. The only reason he is being considered as yonko level is because of his relationship with shanks as rival. Mihawk also used to fight with Shanks when Shanks had both arms.

How I see it it goes vice. I believe Shanks is more than a swordsman. It also heavily suggests that Mihawk Shanks and that Zoro will beat Mihawk when he surpasses Shanks.
But I will see him as near yonko level. When we first saw Zoro in One Piece we thought he was really close to Mihawk in power but when they both fought we saw the difference in power. From what I gather everyone seems to believe that Mihawk is Yonkou level.

Apr 14 2016 Mihawk is a top tier yea. It is clear that he is a cut above most people in the OP world but Yonkou are a different league altogether. Such evidence entails Mihawks frequent duel with Shanks.
I think this information pretty much confirms that Mihawk is Yonko level. And I think the statement by Mihawk that he is stronger than Shanks only pertains to Swordfighting.
